Infosys Signs $2 Billion AI Agreement: Boosting Innovation and Automation Services

A five-year AI contract with Infosys has been struck, with a $2 billion budget. The second-largest software services exporter in India announced on Monday that it has a five-year contract worth $2 billion to supply artificial intelligence (AI) and automation services to an existing client.

The contract comprises development, modernization, and maintenance services for AI and automation, the company stated in an exchange filing. The client’s name was withheld by the business.
At the end of 2022, when Microsoft’s funded OpenAI’s generative chatbot, ChatGPT, created a stir in the globe, businesses everywhere boosted their spending in AI. After rival Tata Consultancy Services announced intentions to train 25,000 engineers on Microsoft’s Azure AI platform, Infosys made this move. Over the next three years, other rivals, like Wipro, want to invest $1 billion in artificial intelligence (AI).

At the end of May, Bengaluru-based Infosys introduced its Infosys Cortex platform for generative artificial intelligence (AI).

On July 20, the corporation is anticipated to release its first-quarter financial results.
