The iX has outsold the combined sales of luxury BEV (Battery Electric Vehicle) models from Mercedes-Benz, Audi, and Volvo, according to Vikram Pawah, President of BMW Group India.

With the i4 sedan, Mini Cooper SE hatchback, and iX Sports Utility Vehicle (SUV), BMW has emerged as a dominant force in India’s rapidly growing market for luxury electric cars, claiming a 50% market share.

The iX alone outsells the combined sales of rival luxury battery electric vehicle (BEV) models from Mercedes-Benz, Audi, and Volvo, claims Vikram Pawah, President of BMW Group India. According to Pawah in his article, luxury electric vehicles (EVs) currently make up about 10% of BMW’s overall sales, which is more than twice the conversion rate of rival original equipment manufacturers (OEMs).
